About the Loon

Hi my name is Linda Burroughs Seagroves and I am a clay artist. I sometimes do other art projects also but mostly I work in clay. I have a studio deep in the woods called Lake Loon Studio at Lake Russell where I work all day and sometimes all night. I am inspired by my natural surroundings and quiet and solitude that I find here living in the woods at the lake. Sometimes my dog Lily and I walk along the lakeshore and pick up odd things to add to my art and sometimes I find really cool textured pieces of whatever that I bring home and push into the clay to add texture to whatever piece I am working on. In the winter the Lake Loons come down from the north and stay over the winter at the lake. They are beautiful birds with red eyes and an erie call to the wild.
I live here in the woods with my very wonderful husband Tony and my Great Pryenese Lily and my cats Wilson, Hannable and Miss Kitty . I think I have the most wonderful life . I have 2 beautiful kids Christie and Jeremy and an extra extrodianary and beautiful grandson, Jaelen .
